Lilian Gaffney, Private Chef

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be around food. As a little girl, I remember spending hours cooking with my sister in the family kitchen, experimenting with different ingredients, as kids will do.

After graduating from culinary school over 25 years ago, I began my career as a personal chef, then went into the food service arena which gave me a strong catering background and the opportunity to work for organizations like the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as high profile personalities such as President Obama, author Anne Rice and many more. From there I became a restaurant owner. Then in 2008, I made the choice to go back to being a personal chef. It’s a decision I do not regret.
